The Buss Terminal in Eemshaven, formerly Orange Blue Terminal has appointed Reindert-Jan Visser as further Managing Director effective 15th October 2018. He is now responsible for commercial and business development. Reindert-Jan was born in 1982 in Groningen, the Netherlands. After completing his studies in engineering, he studied finance and management in Utrecht and Paris. He worked for various international oil and energy companies in the UK, Norway and Germany in commercial positions as well as project management and joint venture management. In addition, Reindert-Jan has worked on several energy projects in the U.S. “I am very pleased that we were able to win Reindert-Jan for this position. With his expertise and connections to the international energy sector, he is the right person to further develop the business”, says Carsten Tegeler, CFO of the Buss Group. The Buss Terminal is majority-owned by the Hamburg-based Buss Group with Rotterdam based Broekman Logistics as minority shareholder. Buss Group recently signed an agreement for turbine handling services for Trianel Windpark Borkum II. Work will be completed from the Buss Terminal in Eemshaven. The scope covers planning, transport and interim storage on the terminal premises as well as pre-assembly and delivery of the components to the quayside ready for load-out. The planning phase of the works should be completed before the end of the year stated Buss. From spring 2019, a total of 32 wind turbines - consisting of approximately 75m long type RE74.4 rotor blades, 64 tower segments and 32 nacelles - are to be transported successively to the Orange Blue Terminal. Around 80,000m2 of the 250,000m2 heavy-duty terminal are to be used for storage, handling and pre-assembly of the components.
